“ I get by with a little help from my friends”

~ John Lennon

Born to two Beatles enthusiastic Norwegians, I could barley walk when I first fell in love with London, England. My home for the past 15 years. In 2024 I felt the calling from the mother-land, and moved back to Norway with my family.

I am a believer that change is possible. In fact, it is inevitable. However, significant change takes time. My girlfriends are my saviours, and my family is my anchor. Yoga brings me joy.

A joy I discovered over 11 years ago, as a shared interest with friends, and grew from there to become a practice that helps me stay sane living in such a big and busy city like London. A city like no other. I love the pubs, the sarcasm and generosity of the English hearts. So, marrying an english man was always in my cards I guess.

Somewhere along the road, I decided to dig deeper into my understanding of yoga and embark on my own teacher training in the very city that I love. I offer Hatha yoga styled classes aimed for Special and Additional needs. I am passionate about inclusivity and want to help show how yoga is accessible to all. As my journey has brought me back to my roots, I am working on sharing my joy for yoga with people in Norway.

I aim to create a space and a class where you are met with Encouragement; to feel confident to start your own yoga journey wherever that may be. To bring Honesty; where I will always be transparent of my own abilities and limitations as a teacher. As well as Positivity; by respecting and honouring our beautiful uniqueness’s and differences.

Yoga philosophy is teaching me how to unify my physical and subtle body, how my human experience runs deeper than my layers of flesh and bone. The ancient teachings can honesty feel overwhelming, and challenging, as a 21st western woman to take in. But I am reminding myself to be patient. To continue to show up to my practice, and only share what I so far can grasp. And to continuing forward with an inquisitive mind for the concepts not yet fully understood.

MY TRAINING

The 350+ hour Yoga Teacher Training course at Triyoga was completed in 2021, a rigorous 2 years training facilitated by two incredibly inspiring teachers, Tony Watson and Anna Ashby. My diploma is fully recognised and accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga, Yoga Alliance Professionals (Yoga Alliance UK), and the Yoga Alliance USA.

My 5 month training with Special Yoga Ltd was also completed in 2021. I have a BSc (Honours) degree in Psychology and over 5 years of working with neurodivergent people prior to becoming a yoga teacher. With this knowledge, I can confidently and safely support people within the special needs community and their caregivers on their yoga journey.

STUDENT FIRST

I will always be a student first, and what I know cannot be credited to myself, but to my teachers and those who went before them. Here are a few that you should look up that I personally follow and are inspired by.
